San Jose Fire Fighters are working a second alarm fire in south San Jose near Almaden Lake Park during 103 degree heat. Reports of an apartment fully involved as well as smoke showing while en route had the first in crews requesting that second alarm. Due to the roof collapsing crews went to a defensive attack on the Alpha and Charlie side of the building. Once a bulk of the fire was knocked down crews performed salvage on the adjacent apartments. One patient suffered burns on the Charlie side of the building where Rural Metro took care of the individual. Crews will be on scene into the night performing overhaul.
